Rock-blogger buds!
How good was Saturday! It’s always good to give Freo the old heave-ho in front of our home crowd, and it was especially awesome that the massive rain storm missed us while the match was still being played.
But let’s chat more about the match. It was so brilliant to get back in the winner’s circle. And what about my mate Pridda? 200 of the best matches you’d ever want from your favourite Eagle, and then he tops it all off with the Ross Glendinning Medal. He just keeps running, doesn’t he? If he gets knocked down, he just gets back up and keeps running. What a jet! Oh, and speaking of jets – Lewis Jetta, take a bow! People are saying that second goal of his travelled 70 metres, but I think it may have gone a little further than that.
The best thing about this week is that we’ve got another home match coming up, and that means another chance for me to see all my little buddies again. Hopefully the weather is a little better on Friday night when we take on the Tigers.
I hope your school holidays have got off to a cracking start and that you’re spending all your time practicing your handballs, marks and snaps for goal… I know I am! I can’t wait to catch you at our Rick’s Rookies Coaching Clinic next week. If you can’t make it on the day, don’t worry as I’ve got a few other events during the year where we can catch up and say g’day!
Until next week, have a ripper time!
Love Rick
