After last year’s crushing grand final defeat in their inaugural season, the Eagles squad will be looking to go one better this year with continuity a strong focus heading into the 2024 WAWFL campaign.
The first season in the wheelchair football competition saw the Club finish second on the ladder, growing stronger and stronger with each passing week before a nail-biting finals series.
A winless first three games to start their maiden season had it looking like it could be a tough year, but a strong second half that saw them win four of their last five matches reinforced the squad’s new-found bond and cemented their spot in finals.
With the Club becoming the fifth team to join the WA All Abilities Football Association led competition in 2023, there is another new face this year with East Fremantle becoming the sixth club to enter a team into the WAWFL.
The West Coast Eagles playing squad remains largely the same with all players from last season returning in 2024 and only one new addition in Tristan Thomson.
