A trio of West Coast Eagles are in the mix to make their returns from injury against Greater Western Sydney at Henson Park on Sunday.

Sasha Goranova (hamstring), Abbygail Bushby (adductor) and recruit Roxy Roux (hand) are all progressing well and will be tested at main training on Thursday.

“Sasha has ticked off a lot of her rehab milestones and will look to reintegrate back into main training this week. At this stage, she’s a test for this weekend,” AFLW High Performance Manager Wes Salisbury said.

“Abby is another one introducing into main training again, she’ll be another test for this weekend.

“With Roxy and her hand fracture, she’s built up a good solid training base and we’re happy with where the fracture sits. She’ll be a test to get through this weekend.”

The Eagles will be without key defender Sophie McDonald for the trip east after she suffered another concussion in her comeback game, with Jaide Britton also unavailable due to the protocols.

“Unfortunately, Soph sustained another head knock in the game on the weekend and she has re-entered concussion protocols,” Salisbury said.

“Jaide Britton, unfortunately she’ll miss this weekend while still being in concussion protocols.”

West Coast is further assessing Amy Franklin’s fractured little finger which forced her out of the loss to reigning premier Brisbane last round.

“With Amy Franklin, she’s got a fractured fifth finger. We’re seeking a little bit of extra input into what that rehab looks like for her and we’ll see what she gets done later in the week,” Salisbury said.

Meanwhile, recruit Jess Hosking is working her way back from a quad strain which sidelined her from the Lions clash.

“’Hosko’ has returned to running on the track. She’s got a little bit of rehab still to tick off and is still two-to-three weeks away,” Salisbury said.
