1. History makers

Tuesday night’s win was one for the West Coast Eagles history books. Not only was it the first time the AFLW team has won back-to-back games, but it was also the first time since joining the league that the Eagles have won three games in a season, and it’s only week four. There was a lot of hype in the lead up the Pies game regarding these milestones, but the team went in with the belief that they could get it done, not shying away or bowing to any added pressure, and returned to Perth with two incredible wins.

2. Roberts continues to hit new heights

Ella Roberts is the name on everyone’s lips after another standout performance on Tuesday night. The 19-year-old star showed her incredible speed and talent throughout the game and fans, teammates and opposition would have been watching on in awe. Finishing with 19 touches, six tackles, five inside 50s and three clearances, she is hard at every contest, incredibly smart with her ball use and there’s no stopping this exciting young talent.

3. Hosko is on the hunt

Experienced utility Jess Hosking has been a shining light for this team since her arrival at the end of last year. She currently leads the team in goal kicking, four goals from four games, and her connection with the team and the fans is second to none. After being delisted by Richmond after the 2023 season, Hosking has quickly settled into her new home in Perth and made a huge impact on this West Coast team, both on and off the field.

4. Just getting warmed up

After the most successful start to the season that this team has ever seen, it’s exciting to watch what the Eagles will be able to achieve in 2024. The vibes are high, the belief is strong and this team is clicking and gelling together in the best possible way. Every new recruit has been a perfect addition to the group, and every player has been playing their role week in and week out. If the start of the season can be any indication to how their campaign will play out, we will be in for fun ride over the next seven games.

5. The Dais of our lives

The team, the club, the league and the fans knew that when Daisy Pearce was appointed head coach of the West Coast Eagles, we were going to witness something special this season. The experience and knowledge of the game that Daisy has brought to this team has been evident from the get-go, and the players have responded incredibly well to her character and her style of coaching. She’s inspirational, she’s driven, she has passion and a will to help this team grow and develop at every opportunity, and everyone is keen to see where she can take this team in her first season at the helm.
