Naitanui Academy product Coen Livingstone will continue his promising development in blue and gold next season after signing a one-year contract extension.
The talented 199cm forward-ruck joined West Coast at the end of 2023 as a Next Generation rookie and quickly impressed on the training track with his physicality.
Livingstone made an appearance in the Eagles’ first match simulation against Fremantle in February, kicking a goal and looking comfortable at the level.
The Perth Demons product spent the season honing his craft for the WAFL Eagles and showed some exciting potential in 18 matches.
Livingstone’s best performances came against Subiaco, with the 19-year-old finishing with an equal-season high 14 touches, 15 hit-outs and a major in round 10 and three goals in round 17.
Tyrell Dewar became the second Naitanui Academy graduate to play AFL for the Eagles in 2024, following Jarrod Cameron.
Livingstone will be hoping to become the third after following Dewar by re-signing for 2025.
“Coen has shown his determination and appetite for hard work since joining our AFL squad, and we’re really pleased he has signed on for 2025,” General Manager Football Gavin Bell said.
“We all know young key position players take some time to develop but Coen has shown some exciting attributes playing in a strong WAFL competition against seasoned bodies.
“He will continue working on his forward and ruck craft over pre-season and we look forward to seeing his continued development.”
