Young gun Harley Reid’s stellar debut season has been recognised with selection in the AFL Players’ Association’s final 22Under22 team.
Reid was named in the centre of the star-studded side, becoming the first Eagle to make the team since Oscar Allen in 2021.
The No.1 draft pick has lived up to the hype in 19 games, averaging 18.7 disposals, 5.1 clearances and 3.9 tackles with one match to play.
He has excelled in big games, stepping up with three goals from 19 touches to help cause an RAC Derby boilover in round six, before notching a career-best 29 disposals in the ‘away’ clash with Fremantle in round 20.
Reid was nominated for the 22Under22 team, presented by Snaffle, alongside teammates Brady Hough and Reuben Ginbey.
The 19-year-old was the fifth-most popular selection to make the fan-voted final team, featuring in 84 per cent of teams.
Reid was also a leading contender for the Rising Star award prior to his two-game suspension, after being nominated for his round five exploits with 27 touches and a goal in his first victory over Richmond.
