Long-serving West Coast Eagles Strength and Conditioning Manager Warren Kofoed will step down from the position at the end of the year.
Kofoed, who has been with the club since 2008, has decided to pursue other opportunities.
A key pillar in the club bouncing back to finals action after a 2010 season in which the Eagles finished at the foot of the table, Kofoed prepared the playing group for a period of sustained success which included rising to the 2015 Grand Final and then the ultimate premiership triumph in 2018.
General Manager Football Gavin Bell acknowledged the role Kofoed had played at the club, including six successive finals campaigns from 2015 to 2020.
“Warren has been a key member of the department for the last 15 years but has decided it is the right time to pursue a fresh challenge,” Bell said. “He has been an outstanding member of not only the football department, but the club more broadly and has built lifelong friendships.
“We wish Warren, Jasmine, Ivy and Rae our best wishes for the future.”
Kofoed said he was looking forward to the next chapter of his life as he explored several opportunities.
“I have spent a large part of my life at the Eagles and the club will always hold a special place for me and my family,” Kofoed said. “I will take away some great memories and friendships, but I am excited to tackle the next challenge.”
