It was a night when legends and significant club figures mingled and reminisced.

Life members of the West Coast Eagles gathered at Mineral Resources Park for the unveiling of the much anticipated Inner Sanctum and Hall of Fame.

The project, driven by the club's long time media manager Gary Stocks has been years in the making as the senior communications veteran worked diligently to develop a number of installations including the club's Hall of Fame, club timeline and an interactive centre featuring current players.

Stocks was supported on the project by fellow life member and former strategy guru Deane Pieters and club historian Ken Godwin.

Former champions John Worsfold, Ross Glendinning and Ben Cousins were among the star studded names which got the first look at the new facility which involves a number of interactive elements.

Two screens in the main foyer show the timeline which chronicles the club's journey.

The Hall of Fame uses lights, sound and video to showcase the feats of club figures with room for future inductees to be added.

Stocks says the space is a wonderful way to honour the club's history and past greats.

"It is a great opportunity for fans, supporters and guests of the club to learn about the Eagles remarkable history, it pays tribute to those that built the club and the achievements of the past 37 years.

The interactive screens with the players is also a really fun feature for younger fans as well."

The inner sanctum and Hall of Fame space is now open to the public during club office hours and is located next to the team's super store.
