The smooth striding Kelly announced himself in the game from the outset on the way to a wonderful best-on-ground effort.

He had a game-high 32 possessions and set the Eagles alight. Aside from winning the ball at the coal face he also finished off his work with an exquisite set shot in the opening term.

Of his 32 possessions, 12 were contested and he also racked up five clearances. His work rate was off the charts as he helped the Eagles win both the contested possession and clearance counts, so critical in this victory.
