Ahead of the club’s final home match for season 7, nearly 100 AFLW members gathered in the Mineral Resources Park function room for the AFLW Member Lunch.
Hosted by former Eagles player Scott Cummings, the event was an opportunity for loyal members to reflect on the season so far and enjoy each other’s company at club headquarters.
Guests were treated to a delicious buffet-style lunch provided by the venue’s onsite caterers, Indigo Bay, before welcoming three AFLW players to the stage for an in-depth Q&A.
Trio of forward line players, Ella Smith, Imahra Cameron and Shanae Davison, joined Cummings to discuss Season 7 – the second AFLW competition of the 2022 calendar year – and the team’s progress throughout the past few months.
The players also chatted about their pathways to the AFL Womens competition and their lives away from football, before Cummings opened the floor to questions from the members.
Before the players departed, they assisted in awarding door prizes to three lucky guests – a signed guernsey, a signed football and a cap signed by the team captain and coach.
Following the event, guests made their way down to the oval to cheer on the team as they took on the Western Bulldogs, in the last match at Mineral Resources Park for the season.
