West Coast Eagles players were selected in abundance during round nine’s post-match award nominations as Ella Roberts was put up for best mark, Eleanor Hartill’s major was selected for goal of the year, while Emma Swanson and Belinda Smith were Team of the Week inclusions.

Frequent highflyer Ella Roberts took an excellent grab against the Western Bulldogs leading to a Toyota Mark of the Year nomination.

The West Coast rookie climbed over a pack of four Bulldogs players and plucked the ball out of the air late during the second quarter to the delight of Eagles fans at Mineral Resources Park.

The spectacular grab was one of four marks she took, adding to a solid performance where she had four score involvements and 117 metres gained.

Roberts was nominated alongside Hawthorn’s Ainslie Kemp and Port Adelaide’s Erin Phillips for the best mark of the week, with fans getting the chance to vote on their favourite.

Roberts’ good friend and teammate Charlie Thomas is already in contention for the award after her grab was voted best during round five.

Eleanor Hartill was also nominated by the League for round nine’s Crypto.com AFLW Goal of the Year.

During the fourth quarter the former basketballer collected a bouncing ball in the right pocket and dribbled through an incredible goal.

It was the first time Hartill had been positioned up forward since starting her AFLW career this season.

Her amazing goal was selected alongside Richmond’s Monique Conti and Adelaide’s Danielle Ponter this week and she is in the running to join teammate Aisling McCarthy, whose brilliant banana was selected for best goal in round one.

At the end of the AFLW home and away season, the AFL will nominate three marks and three goals for the public to vote on in each competition.

All voters who pick a weekly winner will go into the draw to win $5,000.

Emma Swanson is excited by West Coast's direction

In more exciting news, Belinda Smith and Emma Swanson have been selected in round nine’s Team of the Week for their impressive performances against the Bulldogs.

Swanson had a game-leading 28 disposals and eight clearances with her performance marking the second time she’s made the Team of the Week after being selected in round four.

Smith is the third Eagles defender to make the AFLW Team of the Week, joining Sophie McDonald and Charlie Thomas.
