Midfield duo Ella Smith and Emma Humphries are both on track to be available for selection this week following a physical encounter against Richmond last Friday night.

Ella Smith sustained heavy bruising and swelling to her right eye after a nasty head collision with Tigers’ defender Sophie Molan

Despite showing clear discomfort Smith showed grit to play out the match after being strapped by team trainers.

“From the weekend we were pretty lucky to come away unscathed,” Salisbury said.

“We’ve got a pretty healthy list for the start of this week.

“Ella came up with a bit of bruising in her eye after the collision in the first quarter but she’ll have a good week on the track and get up for selection this weekend.”

Gun winger Humphries has also recovered well ahead of this weekend after taking a knock to the jaw during round seven’s clash.

Humphries got back up quickly from a dumping tackle at the hands of forward Meagan Kiely and remains available to play.

“Humphries took a pretty heavy knock from that third quarter tackle,” Sailsbury said.

“She’s pulled up well over the weekend and is expected to train this week and is available for selection against Geelong.”
