Showed his versatility by filling a variety of roles in Adam Simpson’s side during his first season in the west, without finding the continuity that he would have been hoping for.

Petrevski-Seton’s longest stint in the side was three games, which he managed on four separate occasions as he tallied 14 appearances, including one as the unused medi-sub.

A knee injury suffered during February’s intraclub was an untimely setback for the former Blue, who subsequently played with strapping for most of the season.

The 24-year-old’s form was encouraging early, with a promising Eagles debut through midfield and attack in round one against Gold Coast, but he was out of the side with a calf injury by round four and by round 10 was sidelined by the AFL’s Health and Safety Protocols.

Illness then kept Petrevski-Seton from the team in round 14 against Geelong following the bye. When he was on the park the experienced recruit’s toughness and neat skills were impressive.

The Halls Creek product is now settled back in Western Australia and will be crossing his fingers for better luck with injury and health next season.

Standout performance: Stepping up in our hour of need

After impressing in round one, Petrevski-Seton was one of the better performers during a gutsy loss for an undermanned team topped up by WAFL players against North Melbourne the following round.

The slightly-built utility brought grunt around the ball with eight tackles to go with 19 disposals and eight contested possessions as the Eagles pushed the Roos in a 15-point defeat.
