The West Coast Eagles are holding their earliest draft selection since recruiting three-time All-Australian star and dual John Worsfold medallist Nic Naitanui in 2008 after the conclusion of the home and away campaign.

This year's NAB AFL Draft - which will be staged on November 28 and 29 - will be another opportunity to replenish the squad with youth, after the Eagles went to the draft last year and recruited some exciting talent.

West Coast's second selection, Brady Hough, was taken 31st overall and made 15 senior appearances on a wing and across half-back after debuting in round one, while tall defender Rhett Bazzo tallied nine matches following his selection at pick 37 overall.

The Eagles' top pick, Campbell Chesser, looms as a new recruit in 2023 after the speedy inside-outside midfielder's first year was ruined by a nasty ankle injury, with mature-ager Greg Clark (nine games) and developing tall forward Jack Williams (one) also set to feel the benefits of another pre-season.

Currently holding four picks inside the top 40 - including 20, 26 and 38 - the Eagles are set to feature prominently in the early stages of this year's draft.
