Dana Hooker has earned herself a spot in the AFL Women’s team of the week after an inspired performance against St Kilda on Tuesday afternoon.

Leading the team to their first win of the season, Hooker finished the match with 20 disposals, four marks and five tackles and was strong in the contest, with three hard ball gets and 13 contested possessions.

Hooker also created a number of scoring opportunities for West Coast’s forwards, with four inside 50 entries and four score involvements making her the best Eagle afield for the day.

Backed up by skipper Emma Swanson (19 disposals, six tackles), Bella Lewis (17, six) and Mikayla Bowen (13, six) the Eagles engine room worked hard all day to hand West Coast their first victory of the year, with Aimee Schmidt (four score involvements, one goal) and defender Belinda Smith (12 disposals, six intercepts) also monumental.
