West Coast AFLW captain Emma Swanson has been charged with Rough Conduct and has accepted a one-match sanction following Sunday’s loss to Gold Coast.
Swanson was cited by the Match Review Officer for a Dangerous Tackle against Kalinda Howarth during the second quarter of the round two clash at VU Whitten Oval.
Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Conduct, Medium Impact and High Contact, and classified as a one-match sanction as a first offence.
Swanson has accepted a one-match suspension with an early plea.
West Coast is set to face Adelaide at the Swinburne Centre (Punt Road Oval) in round three.
The Suns’ Ellie Hampson was also offered a one-match sanction for a Dangerous Tackle on Eagles forward Grace Kelly during the second quarter.
