Duggan handled the elevation to co-captaincy alongside Oscar Allen with aplomb in 2024, leading the way with his toughness, unerring attack on the ball and consistency across 21 games. Duggan was deployed through midfield and across half-back as required and produced another consistent campaign to finish fourth in the Club Champion award – his fourth top-five placing across the past five seasons. Duggan was also honoured with the Chris Mainwaring Medal for the second time as Best Clubman and the 2018 premiership defender is one of the key drivers charged with leading the Eagles squad back towards finals contention in a new era under coach Andrew McQualter.
