Elliot Yeo left searching for his teeth after copping knock against Pies
WEST Coast midfielder Elliot Yeo has provided a compelling argument for mouthguards after losing his two front teeth during the Eagles' clash against Collingwood at the MCG.
Yeo was collected by Pies ruckman Jarrod Witts after dropping a simple mark inside West Coast's forward 50m on the stroke of half-time.
Witts' seemingly incidental bump knocked out Yeo's teeth, which were unable to be found by trainers during the half-time break.
The dropped mark hurt Yeo and the Eagles, as the former Brisbane Lion would have been well within range to shoot for goal to put West Coast ahead by 20 points at the main break.
Yeo returned to the field in the second half after collecting nine disposals and three marks to half-time.
He finished the match with 19 disposals and a goal in the Eagles' eventual eight-point loss to the Magpies. After the match, a good-spirited Yeo tweeted: "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth…"
